Daily Word: Thank You!

1Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

 Have you ever sat down to pray and didn’t know what to say? Perhaps you knew there was a lot to be thankful for, but you didn’t necessarily know how to say thank you? Well, simply lift your hands and say “I just want to THANK YOU, LORD for being so good to me.”  

Did God wake you up this morning?  Do you have a reasonable portion of health and strength? Isn’t that reason enough to give God thanks?  Everything may not be as you desire, but God is still God in spite of your trials and tribulations. 

Praise God today for bringing you this far. Praise him for the endless possibilities that abound. Praise him for the privilege to still among the living. Whatever your situation, as long as God has preserved you to take another breath, there is hope. Remember that you have countless reasons to lift up your head and give thanks unto God, and that there are hundreds, if not thousands of people, who would trade places with you in a heartbeat.  Thank God for all that you have, all that you do not have, and all that you will receive.  The Bible declares in Psalms, “O give thanks unto the Lord for he is good and his mercy endureth forever.” ~Lady A
